Spurs outcast Tanguy Ndombele has revealed former manager Mauricio Pochettino wanted him at Paris Saint Germain before he made his January loan move to Lyon.
The French midfielder returned to Lyon in January after failing to make an impact in north London despite being Tottenham's record signing following his £53.8m arrival in 2019.
And after making his second debut for Lyon at the weekend, Ndombele has opened up about the options that were available to him as he sought a move away from Spurs.
It comes as Christian Eriksen prepares to make his Premier League return following his own transfer deadline day move to Brentford following his cardiac arrest during Denmark’s Euro 2020 opener with Finland.

Eriksen set for return
You'll be hard-pushed to find a football fan who isn't happy to see Christian Eriksen back in professional football.
Eriksen had to quit his Serie A career with Inter Milan following his cardiac arrest while playing for Denmark in their Euro 2020 encounter with Finland.
He had been without a club ever since, but secured a move to Brentford on the last day of the January transfer window and could now be in line to make his Premier League return.
The former Spurs midfielder has now completed his first training session for his new club, and will have fans around the world wishing him well as his career at Brentford kicks-off.
Ndombele reveals PSG interest
Mauricio Pochettino wanted to be reunited with Spurs midfielder Tanguy Ndombele at Paris Saint-Germain, it has been revealed.
The Frenchman ended up signing back with former club Lyon in a loan deal with reports suggesting the deal has a clause which could make the move permanent if the Ligue 1 side pay Spurs a £55million fee.
Ndombele made his second debut for the side in Lyon’s 2-0 defeat to Monaco at the weekend as he came on as a half-time substitute, but could have been turning out for Pochettino's PSG had things gone a little differently.
And the midfielder has hinted he could welcome a move to the Parc des Princes "one day" in the future following reports linking him with the club last month.
