Tottenham news: Spurs prepare £31m transfer as club to honour Gian Piero Ventrone vs Brighton

Spurs prepare for £31m transfer

Swedish international Dejan Kulusevski has been superb since joining from Juventus. The 22-year-old has firmly established himself as a key player for Antonio Conte, and Tottenham are now looking to sign him permanently.

According to a report from Calciomercato, Spurs will pay a fee of around €35 million (£30.8m) to make the move permanent provided certain clauses of the loan agreement are met.

Tottenham plan to honour Ventrone

Tottenham will pay tribute to Gian Piero Ventrone ahead of Saturday's Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion. On Thursday morning, the club confirmed in an official statement that the fitness coach had sadly passed away at the age of 61.

An incredibly sad day for all connected with the club, the love and respect for the renowned fitness coach from all at Spurs was clear to see, with players and staff members all paying tribute to him. The tributes will continue at the Amex on Saturday evening, with the Tottenham squad warming up in t-shirts that pay respect to the experienced coach.

Both sides will also wear black armbands as a mark of respect, while there will also be a minute's applause ahead of the 5.30pm kick-off. Spurs have also announced that they will look to further honour Ventrone ahead of Wednesday night's Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
