Tottenham news: Spurs can ruin dream Arsenal transfer as Antonio Conte told Antony price

Here is your Tottenham morning digest on Thursday, June 23.

Lucas Moura outlines future

Lucas Moura has revealed that his plan is to exit Tottenham when his contract in north London comes to an end. Dropping down the pecking order following the January arrival of Dejan Kulusevski, Lucas has been mentioned in regards to a possible exit this summer as part of the big changes set to take place in N17.

"The idea is to fulfil the contract. It has one more year, with the option of one more, on the part of the club. So at the end of this season now, if the club wants to extend another year, they have that option,” he told Brazilian journalist Andre Hernan, via Sport Witness.

"But my idea is this. Finalising the contract, playing in the Champions League, we haven’t played the Champions League for two years, and now it could be, perhaps, my last Champions League there at Tottenham. So then the idea is to stay there, fulfil the contract, then be free, then decide where I’m going."

Antony price tag revealed

Ajax are set to demand a huge fee for Antony amid interest from Spurs and Manchester United. According to Dutch journalist Mike Verweij, the Dutch giants are seeking up to £68million if they decide to sanction the 22-year-old's exit.

Ajax are interested in Steven Bergwijn, meaning a swap deal could be possible - especially if Antonio Conte were to lose out on other targets Raphinha and Richarlison to Arsenal and Chelsea respectively. United, who are set to see their owners take an £11million dividend out of the club by the end of this week, may have to pay upfront, so Tottenham could have the advantage if they were to act on their initial interest.

How Spurs can scupper dream Arsenal transfer

Arsenal are reportedly prioritising a move for Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez after having an opening bid of £25million rejected. According to The Athletic, Arsenal's defensive priority for this summer is Martinez due to the 24-year-old's ability to play at centre-back and left back. Martinez is reportedly keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium, but Tottenham could scupper the Gunners' hopes.

Speaking on the Talking Transfers Podcast, via HITC, journalist Graeme Bailey has suggested that Spurs could even look to involve Bergwijn in a potential move of their own for the Argentine defender. He said: "Arsenal have gone in for him, they like him a lot. There’s a lot of interest in this guy, but the big thing with him is that he wants to leave Ajax.

"We understand he’s told Ajax he wants to leave, he plays on the left side, he’s an outstanding player, he can cover a lot of positions, he can play centre-half, he can play left-back and he can play in the midfield.

"Again, this may be a north London battle, because we’re hearing that Tottenham like this guy a lot and they do have a bit of a trump card possibly because Ajax really want Steven Bergwijn, so could that potentially offer him in exchange?"
