Atletico Madrid join Sergio Reguilon race
La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid are in talks with Tottenham regarding a deal for Spanish left-back Sergio Reguilon, football.london understands. The 25-year-old was signed from Atletico's fierce city rivals Real Madrid by former manager Jose Mourinho in 2020, but is no longer in the plans of Antonio Conte.

Reguilon had a strong first season in north London but has struggled since the Italian took charge of Spurs, opting for a system that incorporates wing-backs whilst the Spaniard is more comfortable playing as a full-back.

Spurs handed boost in Hakim Ziyech race
Former Tottenham midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has tipped Chelsea playmaker Hakim Ziyech to favour a move to Tottenham over a return to Ajax. The Dutch giant sold the Moroccan to the west London side in 2020 but it looks as though his future at Stamford Bridge is unclear having featured just once so far this season.
The former Spurs star said: "I've been saying that for some time now. I believe Ziyech is the type of player who could make a big impact in the current Spurs team."

Cristian Romero back next week
Antonio Conte has confirmed that defender Cristian Romero won't be available for Sunday's trip to Nottingham Forest, with the Argentinian set to return to training next week.
The 24-year-old had an issue emerge in the latter stages of Spurs' draw at Chelsea a fortnight ago but should be back in contention next week, with Conte saying: "Cuti is recovering very well." Midfielder Oliver Skipp will also miss the trip to Nottingham.
