Doherty on Kane return
Matt Doherty says the Spurs players will rally around Harry Kane and "get him up and running again" after his World Cup penalty miss. In an in-house interview for Tottenham, the defender said: "I thought England played well against France, to be fair, and France didn't really get going.
"I feel like France had one attempt at goal and scored twice - the first wasn't even a half-chance. England looked dangerous. Harry obviously scored the first penalty, and then everyone knows what happened.
"It will be tough for him now but when he gets back in, we'll rally around him and get him up and running again. He'll be fine. He's one of the strongest characters, mentally, that we all know."

Son back in training
Son Heung-min returned to training at Hotspur Way yesterday following South Korea's exit from the World Cup. The 30-year-old talisman led his nation to the round of 16 in Qatar before Brazil stood in their way.
In a video posted on the club's Instagram account, he could be seen taking part in some fitness work as he lined up alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg before the pair started to jog around the perimeter of the pitch. Son, who was not wearing his face mask for the fitness drill, could pull on a Tottenham shirt for the first time since Marseille away when Spurs host Nice in a friendly in N17 next Wednesday.
Spurs win friendly
Tottenham enjoyed a 3-1 win over Peterborough United Under-21s at Hotspur Way yesterday afternoon. Arranging another behind-closed-doors match with their trip to Brentford now less than two weeks away, Spurs won courtesy of goals from Matt Doherty, Harvey White and Bryan Gil.
Fresh from their 4-0 triumph over Motherwell on Friday, Conte started with ten of the 11 players who started against the Scottish side. It was Charlie Sayers who was dropped from the starting XI, with Clement Lenglet returning to the side after not featuring against the Steelemen last week.
Japhet Tanganga, Sanchez, Spence, Oliver Skipp, Doherty, Kulusevski, White and Bryan were all given 82 minutes ahead of next Wednesday's friendly at home to Nice. Lenglet played 69 minutes on his return to the team, while Fraser Forster, Ryan Sessegnon, Lucas Moura and Emerson Royal didn't feature for the second consecutive game.
