Tottenham news: Leonardo Bonucci transfer boost and Ryan Sessegnon's biggest challenge

Bonucci boost

Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci has reportedly 'asked to leave' the club. The Italy international has been linked with a move to Tottenham, which would see him link back up with Antonio Conte, who he previously worked with at Juventus.

Guilio Mola has reported that Tottenham are keeping tabs on the central defender and that the 35-year-old wants to leave the Serie A giants in the upcoming transfer window, with his relationship with manager Massimiliano Allegri ‘broken’.

Sessegnon reveals biggest challenge

Ryan Sessegnon has claimed that delivering consistent performances for Tottenham week in, week out is his biggest challenge this season. Having to deal with injury issues in his first year at the club before joining Hoffenheim on loan in 2020/21, the ex-Fulham ace got a good run in the Spurs team in the second part of last season under Antonio Conte.

Now with Ivan Perisic to compete with for the left wing-back spot, the 22-year-old has made six starts for Tottenham this season but has still come on early in games when he has been a substitute. Such a big year for the player after his previous woes, the England Under-21s international outlined what he worked on in the summer to boost his form under Conte.

Bissouma experiment gives answer to Richarlison blow

The Premier League table makes for very good reading for all connected with Tottenham at present. Following Saturday evening's 2-0 victory over Everton in north London, Spurs sit third having won seven of their opening 10 league games in 2022/23.

Making it three wins on the spin in all competitions, the Lilywhites had trouble breaking down a resolute Everton side in the first half but they were much better after the break.
