The confirmation of the new Premier League fixtures will only fuel the excitement Tottenham Hotspur fans are feeling.
While there was so much focus on securing a Champions League berth last term, in the top flight there will be hope that the team can kick on. They may not have enough yet to challenge the might of Manchester City and Liverpool, but third spot feels up for grabs.
Manager Antonio Conte will want his squad primed and ready for Week 1, when Spurs host Southampton. If they get off to a fast start, then all the groundwork is in place for a season to remember to form.

Lautaro Martinez latest
With Internazionale looking to re-sign Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea this summer, there may be a number of players leaving the San Siro in an attempt to balance the books.
As one of Inter's major assets, Martinez may be one. The Argentina international has been one of the best strikers in Serie A in the last couple of years and he formed a deadly partnership with Lukaku when Inter won the title in 2020-21.

Eriksen preference
Denmark international Christian Eriksen reportedly wants to stay in the Premier League next season.
The playmaker suffered a cardiac arrest on the field last summer playing for his country, although he made a remarkable return to top-level football with Brentford on a short-term deal. However, he appears poised to leave the Bees ahead of the new campaign.
Manchester United are said to have offered Eriksen a contract, while Spurs have also been credited with an interest in their former player. As things stand, it would appear a deal with one of those two clubs is likely, with the Dane said to be keen to play in English football's top flight again next season.

Adebayor wins legal battle
Former Spurs forward Emmanuel Adebayor has successfully won a FIFA tribunal, which deems he was unfairly sacked.
The Togo forward joined Paraguayan team Olimpia in 2020, months before the Covid-19 pandemic hit. Football shut down as a result and Adebayor was sacked in June of the same year when fixture lists started to be repopulated.
The 38-year-old only made four appearances for the club, although winning the case will pocket him in the region of £420,000. After spending a season on loan at White Hart Lane, Adebayor spent a further three years with the north London club. He scored 42 goals in 113 appearances for them.
