Kane advice
Marcel Desailly has told Harry Kane to try 'something different' and leave Spurs this summer. The former Chelsea defender believes he should take matters into his own hands and demand a transfer.
"When I was playing, Tottenham were in the same situation," Desailly told beIN Sports. "No leadership, nothing. How many trophies have they won since '98 until now? It’s something (not winning trophies) that will be repeated.
"As we’ve said, he might get a good contract or they might renew. But (Robert) Lewandowski, he moved from a different type of club like Bayern Munich to face something different, achieve something different. Trophy… language… culture."

Alonso stance
Bayer Leverkusen supremo Fernando Carro has insisted Xabi Alonso is happy in Germany amid reports linking him to the Tottenham job. The former Liverpool midfielder had emerged as a surprise candidate to replace Antonio Conte despite little experience as a manager.
Speaking to Spanish outlet AS, Carro said: "He has a contract with us until 2024. He is happy here and we are happy with him. We are enjoying working together and I am sure we will be with him next season. And hopefully, there are many more but, in football, you can’t look much further. A responsibility that we have as club directors is undoubtedly to see and observe coaches, not only when you need it, but at other times.
"We had been following Xabi Alonso for a long time, we had him on our list of possible future coaches for the moment we thought fit. The sum of his virtues, his experience in different leagues and having learned from many coaches, made us sure that he was a very good bet for the future. That is why we decided to take the step."

Emery names primary Spurs threat
Unai Emery is well aware of the danger Pedro Porro poses his team and he is intent on stopping him come Saturday afternoon. As quoted by BirminghamLive, the Aston Villa boss said: "Yes of course, [Porro] is playing very well. He’s a strong player offensively and defensively. He’ll face Moreno and [Lucas] Digne and I want to stop him and take the challenge with the duels."
The Spaniard was also quizzed on Tottenham. Emery added: "Their expectation in the beginning was to be in the top four. It’s now more difficult than it was five to ten years ago. There are now seven teams trying to be in the top four.
"Maybe Aston Villa now as well. It’s more difficult. Tottenham have had some problems in the last month but they have very good players. The last match they played against Palace they kept good balance tactically and they have very powerful players in the transition, being strong defensively. They have very good players who can make different tactical decisions."
