Raducanu reveals reason for Tottenham kit
US Open champion Emma Raducanu has dampened hopes that she supports Tottenham – and explained the real reason for her wearing a Spurs kit during a recent training session.
The British number one was spotted donning the kit bearing her own surname this week while in Germany preparing for the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. It turns out she's not a fan of the club herself – but a number of her team are and have been "egging her on".
It appears their work may have been successful, though, with Raducanu admitting she is now "feeling some sort of connection".
Conte sent 'incredible' message
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has heaped praise on Antonio Conte's 'incredible' Spurs side following their rise into the Premier League's top four.
Tottenham now sit fourth in the table, occupying the final Champions League qualification spot, three points ahead of Arsenal and Manchester United but with a superior goal difference. And speaking ahead of his side's match at Anfield against United on Tuesday night, Klopp sent Conte plenty of praise for the job he's doing at the club.
Mourinho slammed
Jose Mourinho's time as Tottenham manager has been slammed by sources within the club.
Mourinho arrived in north London to much fanfare, raising the expectation that Spurs would finally manage to end their trophy drought which dates back to the 2008 League Cup. But he was sacked just days before the EFL Cup final in 2021 as the club's league form unravelled.
And sources have now told The Athletic that Mourinho "sucked the culture out of the club and destroyed what Spurs have stood for for years".
