Tottenham news: Ivan Perisic and Yves Bissouma handed shirt numbers as Antonio Conte given boost

Your Tottenham morning digest on Thursday, July 14.

Perisic and Bissouma shirt numbers revealed

Tottenham's pre-season tour of South Korea is brought to you in association with Nord VPN, sponsors of football.london's coverage.

Spurs have announced which numbers three of their new summer signings will wear during the pre-season tour of South Korea. After defeating a K League XI 6-3 yesterday, in which Harry Kane and Son Heung-min both scored twice, Antonio Conte's side have matches against Sevilla, Rangers and Roma still to come.

Although the pre-season numbers don't reflect the ones which players will sport for the new season, it is still a first chance to see Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr in a Spurs top. Fraser Forster has also been confirmed with his shirt number for the season and it has already been revealed that Richarlison will take the no.9 shirt, but for other players it still isn't public.

Kulusevski back training

After being handed an initial injury scare when Dejan Kulusevski left training on Monday, July 11 early, Spurs fans will be relieved to see their midfielder up and running in the preparations for the K League XI match. Although he didn't feature, he was out on the pitch before and after the game.

Another Spurs player was also with him as some of Conte's injury worries were put to bed with the season just under one month away from commencing.

Walker-Peters £30m clause

The Athletic are reporting that Spurs might have a cheeky way of regaining one of their old players as Kyle Walker-Peters attracts attention following his impressive season with Southampton.

David Ornstein reported that Spurs are thought to have put a £30m buy-back clause in for Walker-Peters as Manchester United have shown interest in the player. Spurs are currently targeting Middlesbrough defender Djed Spence, so it's unlikely that the Londoners will activate the clause.

The 25-year-old left Spurs permanently in 2020 and despite his good form, it would be a surprise to see him return to his old club so quickly.
