Harry Winks talks hit an impasse

According to a report from The i, talks between Tottenham and Everton over a transfer of Harry Winks has hit a snag. While the Toffees would rather sign the midfielder on an initial loan, Daniel Levy is only interested in a permanent sale for the time being.

The report states: "Talks for Winks are thought to have reached an impasse, with Everton preferring an initial season-long loan while the north London club are pushing for a permanent transfer."

Djed Spence update given

Middlesbrough manager Chris Wilder has given an update on the future of right-back Djed Spence. Spence shone during his loan spell with Nottingham Forest last season, attracting the attention of Spurs in the process. But Wilder says he will not be sold on the cheap.

"Djed has made it clear that he wants to go play in the Premier League, he's earned that opportunity which he has done. You cannot get away from the fact that he's had an incredible season and with that comes interest but it has to be at that right price."

The striker enjoyed his best campaign for Atletico this season, contributing eight goals and four assists in 24 La Liga appearances before injury ended his season prematurely in April.
