Here is your Tottenham morning digest for Monday, October 10.
Conte proud of his squad
Harry Kane was close to tears in his post-match interview with Sky Sports, with Antonio Conte taking part in such an emotional press conference as he opened up on his great friend Gian Piero Ventrone following the death of the Spurs fitness coach. He said: "I have to be honest, it was really, really difficult for us to be focused on the game because what happened in the last three days was incredible, was incredible," explained the head coach.
"I knew that the situation was really problematic after the game against Frankfurt. But no one would expect this situation because no one knew something about his illness.
"It was an illness but under control. And then… its very difficult because this situation hit me a lot on the emotional aspect. When this happens, it is very different to cover your feelings with the players, with the people that work in Tottenham.
"At the same time, I have seen a lot of solidarity. The players were really devastated by the pain. And the whole Tottenham environment, the feeling was really, really bad because, in only 10 months, I think Gian Piero went through the heart of everybody. They appreciated it because we are talking about a really big worker, for me, my opinion in his job, he is a scientist."

NFL star dons Spurs shirt
NFL star Saqoun Barkley donned the Tottenham Hotspur third stadium shirt ahead of New York Giants versus Green Bay Packers. The blockbuster clash has been hosted by the north London side's stadium, which is the first built outside of the United States designed to be used in part as a host venue for NFL matches.
As part of a 10-year partnership with the NFL, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium host a minimum of two games per year. The ground has an artificial field with all the relevant NFL markings underneath a retractable pitch.
And, in the second of three NFL games being played at the ground this month, Barkley paid homage to the Premier League outfit in the pre-match warm-up. The 25-year-old running back wore the turquoise shirt as the New York Giants look to climb up the NFC East table
Haaland claim made amid Kane rivalry
Kyle Walker-Peters has stated that it is too early to compare Erling Haaland to his former Tottenham teammate Harry Kane. Scoring goals for fun for Borussia Dortmund prior to his move to Man City in the summer, Haaland has taken the Premier League by storm after netting an incredible 14 goals in his first eight league appearances.
“Come on, Harry Kane has done it for how many years in the Premier League? I think Haaland has had an absolutely unbelievable start. Some of the stats I’m seeing, it’s just ridiculous," he told talkSPORT ahead of Southampton's match at the Etihad Stadium.
"But Kane has proven it for God knows how many years now. I don’t think we can compare them just yet. Haaland is definitely hungry to prove to people he’s better than him [Kane]. And Kane will want to stay at the top. So they’ll have a good battle for top goalscorer."
