Glimpse to the future

Proud Hojbjerg
Spurs midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has revealed he is proud to share a dressing room with his teammates.
Fitness coach Gian Piero Ventrone sadly passed away just two days before the club's match against Brighton and everyone has been shocked to the core since the news.
Hojbjerg has spoken about the atmosphere since the event and said: "The week and the moment has been very emotional. It's devastating, it's sad, it's unfair - all the words you could use. Gian Piero was a great man for everyone, and we are immensely sad.
"When we did running drills, he would often say when everyone would be very tired, maybe on the limit, he would say 'now the work starts' or actually, in his words, 'work starts now!' He would be right next to us while pushing us to the limit and motivating us. That showed a lot, that your limit is further than you first believe, than you first think and that is something the team has taken on board."
Frankfurt and Tottenham both paid tribute to the coach with a wreath being placed on his chair on the substitutes bench before the game.

Son double brings Tottenham much needed win
Spurs bounced back from their disappointing away draw with Frankfurt to win at home in the return fixture.
After going behind early to Daichi Kamada's goal following Eric Dier's defensive mistake, a double from Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane netting from the spot helped Conte's men to victory, Faride Alidou made it a nervy ending though after heading in a late corner to make it 3-2. Kane could have added a personal second but blazed a late spot kick over the bar.
The victory creates an intriguing table with just four points separating Spurs in first with Frankfurt at the bottom after the result in north London. Spurs now have to face Sporting Lisbon in another home tie before playing Marseille in France for the final group game.
