Here is your Tottenham morning roundup on Saturday, June 24.
Laporte move rejected
Manchester City star Aymeric Laporte has turned down an opportunity to move to Tottenham in the summer transfer window. That's according to a report from Football Insider, which claims that the 29-year-old faces an uncertain future at the Etihad Stadium, following a limited amount of game time last season.
Spurs were said to hold an interest in the Spanish international, but Laporte is said to have turned down the transfer, with his deal at City running until 2025.

James Maddison boost
Tottenham may have been handed a boost in the race to sign James Maddison from Leicester City this summer, thanks to another signing. The deal for goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli looks to have saved plenty of money in the transfer market, allowing them a bigger budget towards landing Maddison.
Rodrigo Bentancur interview
Rodrigo Bentancur has stated that he hopes to be playing again for Tottenham in "two or three months". Playing a pivotal role in midfield for the Lilywhites in the first half of the 2022/23 campaign, Spurs were dealt a hammer blow when the influential midfielder departed the pitch after 65 minutes against Leicester City in February.
Sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the 4-1 defeat at the King Power Stadium which duly brought his campaign to an abrupt end, Spurs really suffered in the Uruguayan's absence and fell out of the running for a Champions League spot before eventually missing out on Europe altogether.
