Tottenham manager Antonio Conte was overlooked for the vacant Manchester United managers job but has been told to leave Spurs and join the Red Devils.
Meanwhile, Spurs striker and England captain Harry Kane found the back of the net for England on Saturday night and overtook an ex-Lillywhite in terms of goals scored for the Three Lions.
The penalty moved Kane one goal closer to the all-time top goalscorer record currently held by former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.
Also, former Spurs playmaker Christian Eriksen marked his return to international football with a goal with his first touch.

Conte given United advice
Tottenham Hotspur secured the services of Antonio Conte last year after firing Nuno Espirito Santo.
Conte was linked with the open Manchester United job which was available at the same time but the Old Trafford outfit ended up hiring an interim manager. Despite this, former Spurs striker Darren Bent believes his old club could lose the Italian to United if he isn't backed in the summer transfer market.
Conte has spoken previously about the difficulties of working in a system where he isn't backed to improve the squad.
Kane overtakes Lineker
Harry Kane inched one goal closer to Wayne Rooney's all-time England goalscorer record on Saturday night.
Kane converted a penalty to clinch a 2-1 win for the Three Lions, a goal which saw him overtake former Spurs striker Gary Lineker and draw level with Sir Bobby Charlton on 49 goals. Four goals draws him level with current Derby manager Wayne Rooney, who found the back of the net 53 times in an England shirt.
There's every chance Kane sets and breaks the record in England's next few games.
Eriksen's dream return
Former Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen celebrated a return to international football with a goal.
Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest on the field during Euro 2020 last summer and there was a real possibility he would never play football again. But after returning to the Premier League with Brentford in February, Eriksen was called up to the Danish national squad for the current round of international fixtures.
And in a fairytale like scenario, Eriksen scored with his first touch.
