Brentford boss plays down Spurs links
Thomas Frank has brushed off speculation that he could replace Antonio Conte as Tottenham manager. It has begun to look increasingly likely that the Italian will leave Spurs once his contract expires in the summer.
The Brentford boss is one of several names expected to be on Tottenham's shortlist if Conte leaves. Speaking ahead of the Bees' Premier League clash against Everton, Frank, who is contracted until 2027, played down suggestions that a move to Spurs is on the cards.
"First, they have a manager which is a manager I have studied for years and I admire massively," the 49-year-old said. "I think he has achieved some fantastic results so I hope he will do well and I hope Spurs do well. Secondly, I am very, very happy here at Brentford."

Conte told to banish Richarlison
Antonio Conte has been told how to punish Richarlison after the striker ripped into him on Wednesday evening. The 25-year-old questioned the Tottenham boss' decision to bench him in the club's crucial Champions League round of 16 second-leg against AC Milan.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Gabby Agbonlahor jumped to Conte's defence and instructed the Spurs boss to relegate Richarlison to the Under-18s. The former Aston Villa striker said: "He’s come out and said that he’s had a positive moment and Conte’s put me on the bench.
"His positive moment is two games, zero goals. I don’t get it. Positive for £60million is a couple of goals, couple of assists. So don’t be moaning when you’re not performing when you’re given a chance. And if I’m Conte and Conte looks like that sort of manager, I’m sure his boots and kit are in the Under-18s dressing room this morning."
Conte given deadline to make decision
Gus Poyet has told Conte that he must make a decision on his future at Tottenham before the end of March. Speaking to Neuecasinos24.com, as quoted by the Express, he said: "We are already in March, and I think that under normal circumstances everybody would know if Conte was going to be there next year or not.
"There has to be a deadline this month on his future, in March - with Antonio and the club, one way or another. I’m not talking just about for Antonio - it is important for the players, the recruitment and the overall wellbeing of the club. It’s a strange situation.
"During the games, he doesn’t influence the play, he doesn’t seem to be thinking about how to win the game. Maybe the situation with his health has extended his decision-making time longer but now that he is back, and before the international break, a decision has to be made."
