Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has sent Erik ten Hag a warning after the Dutchman was named the next Manchester United manager.
Conte himself was linked with the job at Old Trafford before arriving in north London last November, a role Ten Hag was also interviewed for in the summer of 2021. And the Italian has now told the Ajax boss what he should expect when he arrives in England at the end of the season.
It comes as Conte also dropped the names of several academy graduates in his squad as he unwittingly revealed one youngster he's clearly excited about. Elsewhere, Grant Xhaka has made a huge demand of his Arsenal teammates in the race for Champions League qualification as they try to leapfrog Spurs into the top four.

Xhaka lays down Spurs challenge
Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has sent a stirring message to his Arsenal teammates as they try to overtake Tottenham in the Premier League's top four and secure Champions League football next season.
Spurs currently occupy the final Champions League spot on goal difference, with both clubs level on 57 points after Arsenal's 4-2 win over Chelsea on Wednesday. It means the pressure is well and truly on for both clubs as they look to finish in the top four – and Xhaka knows just how big a challenge his side are facing.
Speaking after the Chelsea game, the Gunners midfielder said his team will be treating all their remaining fixtures like "six cup finals" as they try to regain the advantage.
Conte sends Man Utd warning
Erik ten Hag "has to fight to win trophies" at Manchester United, according to Spurs boss Antonio Conte.
Ten Hag will become the next manager at Old Trafford, United announced on Thursday, and will officially join the club at the end of the season. Conte was widely linked with the United job before arriving at Spurs and has helped oversee a dramatic upturn in fortune for his club that has seen them to the brink of Champions League qualification.
The Italian coach has now sent a warning to Ten Hag about what he can expect as he made something of a backhanded dig at United as he insisted the club "improved the squad and have done worse than last season".
Academy youngster impressing Conte
Antonio Conte has unwittingly revealed the name of a young academy player he's been impressed by.
The Spurs boss was speaking about Tottenham midfielder Oliver Skipp's new contract with the club, with the academy graduate penning a deal until 2024 to stay in north London. Conte spoke about the importance of developing players in the academy before listing off Japhet Tanganga, Dane Scarlett and Harvey White, football.london reports.
While White is yet to make his Premier League debut for the club, it is clear he has been impressing his manager who has named him in all but three of his matchday squads since the turn of the year. And Conte's comments could show just how highly he rates the midfielder.
