Romero on celebration
Tottenham Hotspur Cristian Romero has finally spoken about his celebration right in front of Manchester United captain Harry Maguire during the 3-2 loss at Old Trafford last month.
Cristiano Ronaldo ended up grabbing an 81st-minute winner to seal his hat-trick in the match after Romero was seen screaming in Maguire's face after he scored an own goal to make the score 2-2 in the second half. And the Argentinian has now opened up on the incident apologising to the United skipper, football.london reports.
Romero also insisted he has "nothing but respect" for Maguire and admitted his actions had been wrong.
Conte's transformation
Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris says the Spurs players can all "feel the way Antonio Conte wants us to play" as he spoke about the club's transformation under their manager.
Conte took charge of the club in November following the short-lived reign of Nuno Espirito Santo and has led the club into the Premier League top four. And Lloris has revealed some of the secrets to the club's transformation on the pitch under Conte.
And football.london reports that he says that "repetition of work" has helped the club reach their current level and told his teammates they all need to "push until the end".
Neville's 'unspectacular' claim
Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville insists there has been "nothing spectacular" about Tottenham Hotspur's recent performances
The Manchester United legend feels that Antonio Conte ’s side have benefited from Arsenal and the Red Devils’ poor results of late as they have climbed the Premier League table. And Neville says that Conte's recent claims that he will need backing in the summer transfer window prove the side's rise up the table hasn't been entirely of their own making, although he did admit that the side are "growing" out of their recent run.
