Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has made his feelings clear about the sort of players the club should be targeting in the summer transfer window.
Managing director Fabio Paratici has been busy since his arrival at the club almost a year ago, bringing in seven new signings. Spurs have tended to opt to bring in young players who can help the club grow – although Conte has already revealed he may not totally agree with that strategy.
It comes as the Spurs boss has hinted at a potentially season-ending injury for Sergio Reguilon. Meanwhile the north Londoners could target Villarreal ’s Pau Torres – who has also been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer.

Conte's transfer demand
Conte has already hinted he wants Paratici to bring in more experienced players this summer as he plots his recruitment drive.
While the Italian has done an impressive job of getting the most out of the current crop of players at his disposal, Conte has worked with more experienced players in the past. The former Chelsea boss has previously slammed the club for bringing in "young players who can develop and grow, not players who are ready."
His comments could hint at what he is demanding from the club in the transfer market this summer.
Injury blow
Reguilon's season may be over after Conte gave an update on the Spurs defender's injury.
The Spanish full-back suffered a groin injury in training last month and is yet to make a recovery, football.london reports. While he was on the bench for the 0-0 draw against Brentford, he played no part and then missed the 3-1 win over Leicester City altogether.
Conte now fears the Spaniard may not return to action this season.
Torres targeted
Conte reportedly wants Tottenham to beat the Red Devils to the signing of Villarreal's Torres.
It has been reported that Unai Emery’s side will hold out for his £55m buy-out clause in order to part with the defender this summer. Spurs could also face stiff competition for his signature, with United and Manchester City also thought to be in the frame.
And after watching the defender in action during his side's Champions League semi-final against Premier League rivals Liverpool, it appears Conte has been convinced of signing Torres, who has long been linked with a switch to England.
