Tottenham news: Antonio Conte's terminator impression as Son gets game changing decision

Your morning Tottenham Hotspur digest with football.london on Monday, September 19.

Conte's impression

Antonio Conte has changed his Spurs team into a unit on and off the field and the players are now a strong group with an even stronger leader.

The Italian, with title-winning experience in both England and Italy already, is known for his ability to quickly create cohesion and tough-to-beat teams and his latest message is one that might resonate with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

"In every situation I work in, I lift a trophy at the end. It means maybe my vision, my work, and my idea of football have to give credit," said Conte.

"With the rotation at the back today and when Bissouma came on he gave us a lot of strength and energy and I think this is the right path for us."

David missed

According to Fabrizio Romano (via thisisfutbol), Tottenham Hotspur missed the chance to sign Jonathan David, who was on their list this summer and available for a good price.

The Lilywhites have started the season incredibly well as they are currently unbeaten in the Premier League and are right in the battle for the title so far through the first seven games of the season.

A big reason for their great form in the league so far this season is their shrewd business in the summer transfer window. With their £152.9million, they picked up Richarlison, Ivan Perisic, and Cristian Romero, all of which have been crucial to Antonio Conte’s plans.
