Conte plotting Jesus swoop
Spurs and Arsenal are both vying for the signature of Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus.
Tottenham boss Antonio Conte is aiming to beat the GUnners to the Brazilian, and hopes the prospect of playing in the Champions League next season will help him secure the forward's signature. Conte admires Jesus' versatility, since the Brazilian is equally comfortable playing out on the wing as he is in the centre-forward position.
And he now hopes to deal a huge blow to bitter rivals Arsenal's summer transfer plans by winning the race to sign the striker.
Midfield plan revealed
Tottenham boss Antonio Conte will have a wealth of talent at his disposal in midfield next season.
New signing Yves Bissouma joins the likes of Rodrigo Bentancur, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp, Pape Matar Sarr and Harry Winks at the north London club. According to football.london. the Mali international's arrival could lead to the departure of Winks, leaving five players for what will often be two spots in Conte's starting XI.
While it is expected that Bissouma, Bentancur and Hojbjerg will fight for those two places, Conte also has high hopes for Skipp and reportedly sees him as a "top Premier League midfielder" in the fiuture. Meanwhile Conte will assess Sarr in pre-season to decide whether he needs time to adapt to England or is better suited being sent out for another loan spell after spending last year at Metz.
Spurs' Martinez advantage
Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez has already clashed with Arsenal star Reiss Nelson amid reports linking the Argetine with a move to either the Gunners or Tottenham this summer.
The incident happened while Nelson was on loan at Feyenoord, with football.london reporting the pair "got up close and personal in a disagreement".
It could hand Spurs the advantage in the race to sign the Ajax centre-back if the duo are unable to put that aside ahead of a potential switch to north London.
