Bundesliga star eyed
Chelsea are not the only club interested in Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie as Tottenham and Arsenal are both keeping a keen eye on the Ecuadorian defender.
Hincapie has impressed at the World Cup with his defensive displays for Ecuador and the Mirror claim that Chelsea have been scouting the 20-year-old with the Gunners and Spurs also interested.
According to reports from Fichajes, the young defender is a transfer priority for Antonio Conte as he looks to bolster his defensive reinforcements with a left-footed acquisition with Clement Lenglet set to return to Barcelona in the summer at the end of his loan spell.
Manuel Ugarte interest
The World Cup has provided Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal with several opportunities to scout players they may wish to sign in the upcoming January transfer window.
For Spurs and Antonio Conte, the latest in that list seems to be Sporting Lisbon star Manuel Ugarte with O’Jogo reporting that Tottenham are continuing to keep a close eye on Ugarte over in Qatar with the hope he could feature against Portugal on Monday.
Spurs may hold an advantage in their potential pursuit of Ugarte with Rodrigo Bentancur, who joined the north London club from Juventus last January, the international team-mate of Ugarte.
Ivan Perisic impressive stat
Croatia secured their first victory at the World Cup with a 4-1 win over Canada on Sunday with Tottenham's Ivan Perisic heavily involved in everything good from the Croatians.
Alphonso Davies headed Canada into an early lead, but a brace from Andrej Kramaric and goals from Marko Livaja and Lovro Majer saw Croatia run out comfortable winners.
Perisic set up both of Kramaric's strikes which has placed him in esteemed company alongside some other footballing greats regarding World Cup goal involvements.
