Without the duo for Spurs' past two games against Leeds United and Middlesbrough, the return of the players will give the team a boost as they look to get back on track following their FA Cup exit at the Riverside Stadium.

Bentancur has not featured for Tottenham since coming off at half-time with an ankle injury against Burnley, with Lucas sustaining an issue in training prior to the team's trip to Leeds.

While it is good news on the duo, Conte revealed that Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga will once again miss out due to their respective groin and knee injuries.

Spurs ‘interested’ Gleison Bremer

Tottenham Hotspur have endured another underwhelming season in 2021-22 after being knocked out of all three cup competitions and finding themselves playing catch-up for a top four finish.

Defensive mistakes have let the side down on a number of occasions this campaign and Antonio Conte’s side have managed to keep just two clean sheets in 13 games in all competitions in 2022.

Plans are already underway to sign some quality defenders in the summer and one player the club are reportedly interested in is Torino centre-half Gleison Bremer.

The Brazilian has been a rock at the back for the Italian side this season, which has the fifth-best defensive record in Serie A despite sitting in 11th place.
