Tanganga to Milan loan deal talks intesifying

Talks are reported to have 'intensified' in the past 24 hours for a move to take Japhet Tanganga to AC Milan after it was reported in Corriere Dello Sport that the 23-year-old was being eyed as a 'serious' replacement for Alessio Romagnoli, who has departed for rivals Lazio on a free transfer.

Should Tanganga join Milan, he would link up with fellow Englishman Fikayo Tomori, with a loan deal reportedly being discussed for the Spurs academy product who made his first team breakthrough under Jose Mourinho but saw his progress under Antonio Conte hindered by a knee injury.

Tim Sherwood praises Daniel Levy and Antonio Conte

Former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood has praised Spurs' change of approach in the transfer market this summer, citing the influence of Antonio Conte on changing the club's approach in order to ready the squad for Champions League football.

This summer has seen a change of approach, with a host of deals completed during June and July seeing five first team players come in to the club. Tottenham could hand Chelsea transfer boost with Depay deal

After a succession of big moves already this summer, Tottenham are reported to still be in the hunt for big names to bolster their squad ahead of next season, with Barcelona's Memphis Depay reportedly being lined up.

According to Sport, via Sport Witness, Spurs have moved forward in their pursuit of the former Manchester United man and have 'officially taken the step' to sign the forward after months of rumours. The rumours could have ended after the signing of Richarlison was secured, but Antonio Conte and the club's hierarchy appear to be pushing forward with a move for the Dutchman.

This move could be a boost for Chelsea in their current pursuit of Sevilla's Jules Kounde, with it being reported that Barcelona were looking to use the 28-year-old Depay as a makeweight in their moves to sign the French centre-back.
