Tottenham expect to seal a move for Villarreal attacker Arnaut Danjuma on loan to bolster Antonio Conte's attacking options, football.london understands.
Everton were set to seal a deal for the 25-year-old who has scored six goals in 17 games this season for Villarreal but Spurs have swooped in at the last moment and are closing in on a deal for the Netherlands international. football.london understands that Danjuma is currently en route to Tottenham's Hotspur Way complex to complete his medical at the club.
Danjuma scored six goals in 11 Champions League matches last season as Villarreal reached the semi-finals as well as 10 goals in La Liga in 23 matches. The Lagos-born attacker, who turns 26 on transfer deadline day, can play either up front as a lone striker, as a support striker or on the left.

He has experience of English football, having scored 17 goals in 35 matches for Bournemouth as they reached the play-offs in the 2020/21 season. He joined from Club Brugge the previous season but was unable to score in his 14 Premier League appearances.
Danjuma will add another option to Conte's attack where he will battle with Son Heung-min and Richarlison for a spot on the left as well as providing another back-up for joint club record goalscorer Harry Kane.
Spurs are also trying to negotiate a deal for Sporting right wing-back Pedro Porro. The 23-year-old is understood to be keen on a move to the north London club. While there is a feeling the transfer could yet go either way this week, there has been some progress made with a belief that the Portuguese club have begun to shift away from their initial insistence on the all up front £39.5m release clause needing to be met.
