Tottenham have lined up friendlies against Motherwell and Nice this month, football.london understands, as Antonio Conte prepares his team for the return of the Premier League.
Spurs have not played a match since November 12, a 4-3 victory against Leeds United, as the winter World Cup threw a six-week break into the middle of the Premier League season. Conte's men will return to competitive action on Boxing Day as they visit Brentford before returning home for a New Year's Day match against Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham have now arranged friendly matches beginning this week as Conte starts gearing up his players for the return of the Premier League. This Friday Spurs will welcome Scottish Premiership side Motherwell to their Hotspur Way training complex for a behind closed doors friendly, kicking off at 1pm.

Then on Wednesday, December 21, five days before the trip to Brentford, Tottenham are expected to host Ligue 1 side Nice in a friendly in front of the fans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Motherwell friendly this week will see the non-World Cup players get game time while those players who have been taking to the pitches in Qatar are set to be given just over a weeks' rest following their exit from the competition so many will be back in training in time for the game at the stadium against Nice.
In between the two friendly matches, Conte could also utilise the development squad for an in-house game between the senior side and U21s to work with his players on their shape and play ahead of the return of competitive football during the festive period.
