Tottenham are in dire need of reinforcements in the upcoming transfer window and certainly, chairman Daniel Levy must give manager Antonio Conte license to shape the squad into one that resembles his identity if he wants the Italian to stay for another season in north London.
Conte has looked a frustrated figure on the sidelines, with the club failing to deliver any sort of consistency both in terms of performances and results.
Regarding areas that need strengthening, Spurs currently are left with very few top-quality midfield options, so improving the engine room of the team will be imperative in the summer.
They will also be planning on bolstering their backline, particularly at the heart of the defence, and it appears that they are already on the lookout, in Italy.
According to Tutto Juve, the Lilywhites are interested in Torino powerhouse Gleison Bremer.
Born in Itapitanga, Brazil, the 24-year-old has been in fine form for the Italian side, featuring in 24 Serie A games this season.
His most eye-catching performance this season came against Dusan Vlahovic when the Serbian forward was playing for Fiorentina prior to his January move to Juventus, with Fabrizio Romano writing that he is the only defender to 'destroy' the 22-year-old.
Vlahovic has been a predator for the last two seasons but gained absolutely no joy in his battle with Bremer and certainly, Tottenham fans will be encouraged to hear this.
If Spurs do make a move for Bremer, they will need to fork out around £18 million, as that's what he is currently worth according to transfermarkt.
But given the fact that the 6 ft 2 in centre half's deal does not run out until 2024, it's expected that Torino will want to acquire more for his sale should they decide to let Bremer go.
