Tottenham midfielder Pape Matar Sarr has reportedly attracted attention from abroad in the January transfer window, which gives Antonio Conte a tough decision to make. The 20-year-old midfielder has impressed for Spurs of late, appearing off the bench against Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.
Sarr, who joined the north Londoners in 2021 for around £15million, has struggled for first-team minutes this season but he now looks set for greater opportunities in the New Year, namely in the FA Cup after turning heads in Tottenham's four-goal demolition of Patrick Vieira's side.
The Senegal international has impressed so much so that he's courted the interest of a top-flight European side. According to Fabrizio Romano, Serie A club Salernitana have opened talks with Spurs over the possibility of welcoming Sarr to Italy on loan.

The report states that discussions regarding the wonderkid are still at an early stages and a loan move is currently in the hands of Sarr. With a top-flight European side vying for his signature, he must decide what is best for his development; seeing out the remainder of the season with the Lilywhites and under Conte's stewardship or seek first-team minutes overseas.
For the time being, the Spurs boss is said to be pleased with the youngster's attitude and performances at Hotspur Way. Speaking ahead of Tottenham's FA Cup third round clash with League One outfit Portsmouth on Saturday afternoon, assistant coach Cristian Stellini was asked by football.london about Sarr.
"He's a very young player. It's the first time he came to England. He has one year experience in Ligue 1 in France," said the Italian. "About his skill, he can do everything because he's a great player with many possibility. He's a midfielder who can play in many positions. He's a talented player.
"I spoke at my last press conference about the way you have to wait with young players. If you use young players at the wrong time, you can make a mistake. But with Pape, Antonio decided at this moment that Pape is ready and he improved a lot in training.
"We worked a lot on body position and many skills he has to improve. He showed a desire to improve and this is very important for us. If you work with a player and they show this desire it's easier. With Pape it is easy.
"He has to continue to work because we have a hierarchy, so he has to respect this and we have to respect the players. He has the possibility now and he has to show his desire and his quality."
