Tottenham Hotspur Supporters' Trust have issued a fresh statement demanding 'clarity' from the club board following concerns over Spurs' future and strategy. It comes just weeks after the trust expressed "genuine concerns" over how the club is being ran and what direction it is heading.
The trust put forward some key questions to the club board that they believe are "fundamental" for the fans to have answered. There is a growing discontent surrounding the current ownership and structure amongst the Spurs hierarchy, reflected in the stands at recent games.
Earlier this month, the travelling supporters that watched Tottenham win 4-0 against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park chanted that they wanted chairman Daniel Levy to leave the club. Manager Antonio Conte was asked about the chants directed to his hierarchy and has since hinted that those higher up at Spurs should explain the club's decisions.

Ahead of Tottenham's Premier League clash against Manchester City, Conte said: "In England, there is a bad habit that there is only the coach to speak and to explain. I have never seen the medical department come here to explain why this player is having difficulty to recover.
"It's the same also, I have never seen the club or sporting director come here to explain the strategy and vision of the club. In Italy for example, before every game there is a person from the club who has to go before the media and answer every question.
"For us, it could be really really better. Because otherwise, every time there is only one face to explain a situation which I think is better for the club to explain. But this is a habit and I respect this habit."
Following Conte's comments, the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters' Trust have issued a fresh statement asking the club to explain the vision and strategy at Hotspur Way. The statement read: "Two weeks ago we asked the Board of THFC to outline its strategy and vision.
"Today (Tuesday, January 17) Antonio Conte asked for the same thing. It is clear to everyone that, for there to be a chance of success at this Club, the vision and strategy of the Board and Manager must align.
"We understand the widespread discontent among Spurs fans who have loyally supported the Club through the 22 years of the current ownership, years in which success on the pitch has not matched the increase in the price of watching the team. It is time for the Club’s Board to clarify its approach to achieving success on the pitch and to commit the necessary resource and support to secure that.
"The Club cannot continue to drift from one approach to another. We urge the Club to reconsider their decision not to provide answers to the key questions raised by THST, and many individual supporters, until February and to provide those answers now.
"It is perfectly possible to do this without compromising the Club’s commercial position. Spurs fans deserve greater clarity about the Club’s aspirations."
