Tottenham Hotspur have made a significant signing by acquiring striker Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth in a deal that will see him at the North London club until 2030. The financial terms of the transfer have not been officially disclosed, but reports suggest that the deal is valued at approximately £65 million ($83m), setting a new record for Bournemouth's outgoing transfers.
Bournemouth confirmed that Solanke's move to Tottenham Hotspur involves a substantial financial package, which is the largest amount the club has ever received for a player. The 26-year-old forward, who has earned one cap for the England national team, had an impressive 2023-24 season, scoring 19 goals in the Premier League to contribute to Bournemouth's highest points total in the club's Premier League history.
Beginning his career at Chelsea, Solanke later transferred to Liverpool in 2017 before joining Bournemouth in 2019. During his time at Bournemouth, he found the back of the net 77 times in 216 appearances across various competitions.
Spurs, who finished fifth in the previous season, are set to kick off their upcoming Premier League campaign against newly promoted Leicester City on August 19th.
