Tottenham given Harry Kane transfer boost with Bayern looking for Robert Lewandowski replacement

Tottenham's summer transfer window just keeps on getting better. With five new signings through the door already, and a good feeling around the club heading into the new season, they have been given another boost.

Striker Harry Kane, a target for clubs across Europe 12 months ago, looks set to stay in North London for the foreseeable future, with Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici keen to enter into new contract talks with the England captain.

After a turbulent summer last season, in which he was looking to push for a move to Manchester City, Kane has settled down under Antonio Conte, and could now commit to his boyhood club.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham aren't interested in any offers for the player, and want to extent his stay beyond the current summer 2024 expiration.

"There’s no discussion, negotiation or talk about Harry Kane. Tottenham always considered him untouchable and there’s nothing concrete going on with Bayern. #THFC Lewy, Paratici and Conte have never considered to sell Kane this summer - Spurs want to discuss a new deal soon," Romano tweeted.

There had been reports that Bayern Munich wanted to replace Robert Lewandowski with the all-time England top scorer, but it appears that thoughts about leaving Spurs have subsided since last season as Kane gets down to work, preparing for the new campaign under Conte.

Kane had been enduring a woeful season up until Conte's appointment, scoring just once in 9 matches. Since the Italian's arrival, Kane scored 16 goals in 28 games, getting eight assists as well. The striker is firmly in Conte's plans for the upcoming season, and will now be backed by £50m signing Richarlison after he joined from Everton.

The striker is currently in Korea on a preseason tour with his teammates, preparing for Spurs' first match.
