Tottenham boss Antonio Conte was serving a touchline ban, and as a result his assistant, Cristian Stellini, stepped in for press conference duties. The Italian gave an update on Son’s condition, with a hopeful update.
“In this moment, we don't know,” said Stellini. “We have to wait for a medical assessment, and we have to wait until tomorrow.
“Sonny feels better now. I saw him in the dressing room. He celebrated with us. So we will wait for tomorrow.”
Under FA guidelines, players who suffer from a head injury must not be allowed to return to play for at least six days after the incident. This will come down to the severity of the severity of the injury, which will be determined by the Tottenham medical team over the next couple of days.
