Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has confirmed interim head coach Cristian Stellini has left the club following the 6-1 defeat to Newcastle. Spurs were embarrassed on Tyneside by their fellow European-chasers and subsequently Stellini and his coaching staff will be departing immediately.
Ryan Mason, who had been Stellini's assistant after the sacking of Antonio Conte, will take temporary charge for the rest of the season. His first test in his second a spell at the helm comes this Thursday as Spurs welcome Manchester United to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
The news of Stellini's exit was confirmed in a club update from Levy which included the phrase "ultimately the responsibility is mine." Spurs supporters have particularly picked up on this quote with many sending a clear message to Levy following another awful weekend.

@thfcjoaquin: "Is it him leaving or sacking another manager?"
@TheSpursExpress: "Another generic statement void of any meaning. Probably worked on this statement for hours with the PR team and the best they could come up with was adding in the “COYS” bit at the end to make him sound like a supporter. We’re just fed up."
@thfc_cho: "How many more club statements do we need Daniel."
@IanTwigger: "Ultimately, the responsibility is mine". "So I'm going to sack someone else."
@JoeAlexander1: "If Daniel Levy is genuine about taking responsibility, he must step away from all on-field decisions with immediate effect, or better still confirm ENIC will sell the club. Enough is enough, as long as Daniel Levy is the Spurs Chairman we cannot progress on the pitch."
@tuckers35: "It just shows how out of touch with football Daniel Levy actually is Every Spurs fan every opposing fan every pundit every journalist knew keeping Stellini on was a mistake! 4 games on and out of the top 4 race and Levy has only just realised the same when it’s too late!"
@mint_spurs: "The ultimate responsibility is mine, so I’m sacking the manager *laughing face emoji*."
@jake_newell: "Levy out next."
@benny_tsutsa: "The fall guy.. The rot is much deeper.. Levy is deflecting."
