Tottenham could use Harry Winks as makeweight in Richarlison deal as Everton open midfielder talks

Everton are in talks over a move for Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks.

Spurs have given the green light for Winks to leave this summer and Frank Lampard is interested in a deal to take the 26-year-old to Goodison Park.

Tottenham are thought to want around £20million for Winks but are prepared to be open-minded about the package of a deal, and could settle for a lower fee plus add-ons.

Winks could potentially be used as a makeweight in any deal for Richarlison as Spurs firm up their interest in the Everton forward.

Crystal Palace and Southampton have also been linked with a move for Winks, who is desperate for regular first-team football next season.

Winks started just nine Premier League games last term and Spurs have signed Yves Bissouma in a £25m deal that will further limit his opportunities.

He has won 10 England caps but last played for his country in November 2020 and his hopes of earning a recall in time for the World Cup in Qatar this winter are fading.

Winks has Spanish heritage and may consider a move to LaLiga or another major European league.

Tottenham also want to offload midfielders Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso as sporting director Fabio Paratici continues to revamp the squad this summer.
