Tottenham Hotspur are considering making a move for Manor Solomon ahead of the summer transfer, according to The Athletic
FIFA have ruled Solomon will be able to leave Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk for free at the end of the current campaign following his 12-month loan spell with Premier League outfit Fulham. FIFA's ruling on Monday confirmed that all foreign players based in Ukraine or Russia will be allowed to suspend their contracts again for 12 months following a similar ruling from the previous year, with the player's current deal set to expire at the end of 2023, meaning he can join a new team on a free transfer this summer.
FIFA's statement read: "In order to protect foreign players and coaches who have left the territory of Ukraine or Russia due to the conflict and who do not wish to currently return in view of the circumstances, those players and coaches will have the right to unilaterally suspend their employment contracts with clubs affiliated to the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) or the Football Union of Russia (FUR) until 30 June 2024, provided that the clubs are duly informed of the suspension in writing by 1 July 2023."

Now, it is claimed that Soloman intends to leave Shakhtar, with Spurs currently leading the race to sign him whilst Fulham remain interested in a potential deal. The 23-year-old enjoyed a solid 2022/23 campaign for Marco Silva's side, netting four times in the Premier League and once in the FA Cup, with Silva making it no secret of admiration for the talented winger.
"Of course Manor is not ready for 90 minutes but he needs minutes to play with this intensity because it is the Premier League and when you are out from playing for three or four months it is always difficult", the Portuguese coach said back in February. "The most important thing for me, for all the players, is they have to be important for the team, from the start or from the bench, that is what I demand from them.
"But I am pleased with a player who has come from the bench in the last three games, he has scored some important goals for us, and more importantly for him because it has boosted his confidence and he is different from the other players in what he has. His one-v-one situation is really strong and coming from the left he is important."
