Tottenham will again be without Antonio Conte for Premier League duties this weekend with the manager returning to Italy to aid his recovery from recent gallbladder surgery.
Conte missed the 1-0 win over Manchester City but returned for the losses at Leicester and Serie A champions AC Milan on Tuesday.
The Spurs boss revealed ahead of the Champions League game that he had defied doctors orders to return to work at Spurs, but has now agreed to continue his recovery in his homeland.
Spurs welcome rivals West Ham to north London on Sunday, which will see Conte’s assistant Cristian Stellini again take over responsibilities.
“Following a routine post-operation check in Italy yesterday, Antonio Conte will remain at his family home to recover from his recent surgery,” a short club statement read.
“Health is the most important consideration and everyone at the Club wishes him well. Cristian Stellini will assume First Team duties. “
