Antonio Conte and Tottenham are one day away from discovering their group opponents in the 2022/23 Champions League. Having missed out on a place in Europe's premier competition in the past two seasons, all connected with Spurs are counting down the days until European football returns.
They actually won't have too long to wait either as the first group game is due to be played week commencing Monday, September 5. Tottenham's Champions League schedule will become clear on Thursday evening, with the draw taking place in Istanbul, Turkey, at 5pm.
Conte's side are in Pot 2 for the draw, meaning they will possibly come up against one of Europe's big guns from Pot 1. Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, PSG and Man City are all top seeds, although Spurs cannot be drawn against Pep Guardiola's team as they come from the same association.

There are also some impressive sides in Pot 3, which includes the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, Napoli and Bayer Leverkusen. Marseille and Celtic are some of the options available to Tottenham from Pot 4, with Rangers joining them in there, providing they beat PSV on Wednesday evening.
As is always the case in the Champions League, some teams will be handed a dream draw and others a nightmare draw. Given that 29 of the 32 teams involved in the group stage are now confirmed following Tuesday's play-off ties, we have decided to simulate a draw to see who Tottenham come up against.
Well, following our simulation, Conte and his Tottenham team would be quite confident of progressing through to the competition's knockout phase. Avoiding one of the big guns in Pot 1, Spurs were drawn against Portuguese side Porto, who exited at the group stage of the competition last season.
However, the glamour fixture of the group does see Spurs face Italian giants Inter Milan, which would hand Conte a reunion with his former club. The sides did, in fact, meet in the competition's group stage back in September 2018, with a game at the San Siro the first on Tottenham's way to the Champions League final.
Club Brugge then complete the group, thus handing Spurs their first game against the Belgian side since defeating them 3-1 in the UEFA Cup back in 2006. Before that tie, the teams met in the UEFA Cup second round the season after Tottenham's triumphed in the competition in 1984.
Other notable pairings in our draw see PSG and Barcelona drawn alongside each other in Group B, with Bayern Munich and Liverpool involved in a nightmare group containing Napoli and Celtic. You can do your own Tottenham Champions League group stage draw by clicking here.
