There is still plenty more for Tottenham to do in the transfer market as they look to form Antonio Conte's perfect squad. Making some key additions in recent transfer windows with players such as Dejan Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur and Cristian Romero having a big impact in the side, Spurs will be hoping their January signings can do likewise.
Arnaut Danjuma made the perfect start to his Tottenham career with a debut goal in last weekend's 3-0 win over Preston North End and more will be expected of him between now and the end of the season. Much will also be expected of Pedro Porro after the Spaniard contributed three goals and 11 assists from his right wing-back position for Sporting CP this campaign.
Certainly adding some more quality to the team in recent seasons, Spurs still have a lot more to do in the next couple of transfer windows as they look to build a squad capable of challenging towards the top of the Premier League. So what exactly do Tottenham need to do to form the perfect squad for Conte? football.london takes a look.

New goalkeeper
Tottenham now have ample time to identify Hugo Lloris' long-term successor before launching a summer move for their main target. The Frenchman has unfortunately dropped a couple of clangers since his return from the World Cup and his performances have only highlighted that Tottenham need to find a new No.1 going forward.
The summer could well be the time when both parties go their separate ways as the 36-year-old will more than likely want to play football week in, week out at this stage in his career rather than sitting on the bench and watching his successor in action. As part of Tottenham's plans to build a squad for the future, they must bring in a new shot-stopper who can take his place in the team for years to come.
Three centre-backs
Tottenham have conceded a lot of goals this season and that has upped the pressure on their attack to score more goals as a result. An area of the pitch where Tottenham supporters were desperate for them to strengthen in January, that was not the case and now they will look to upgrade the position at the end of the campaign.
Boasting such a talented centre-back in Cristian Romero, who is seen as someone who can become of the best defenders in the world for years to come, Tottenham need to bring in players of a similar quality to bolster their three-man defence. Spurs will now look to sign a left-sided centre-back and one who can play in the middle and the right of the back three once the transfer window reopens for business in the summer.
However, a third centre-back addition at some point in the future may have to be on the cards if they want to give the head coach the best possible squad. Tottenham, all across the pitch for that matter, need to ensure that there is no drop in quality when one player misses out and another comes in.
Creative midfielder
Creativity has been a big issue for Tottenham at times in the past, most notably when Kulusevski missed a chunk of games in October and early November through injury. His importance to the team was highlighted there and then as Spurs didn't have anyone who could create a bit of magic or play a killer ball through to Harry Kane.
Lacking a creative midfielder ever since Christian Eriksen departed for Inter Milan three years ago, supporters will have their fingers crossed that Tottenham address the issue in the summer. Many see James Maddison as the perfect addition, especially after contributing 52 goals and 36 assists in his 187 games for Leicester City.
A summer departure from the King Power Stadium does look likely for the England international as he is now in the final 18 months of his deal and the Foxes will not want to lose him for nothing.
Kulusevski signing
One signing Tottenham must make this summer is Kulusevski. Joining the club on an 18-month loan deal from Juventus, the Sweden international has been a major hit in Conte's XI and transformed the team 12 months ago as they sealed a Champions League finish.
A player who makes the team tick and has such an impact in the final third, supporters cannot wait to see the youngster put pen-to-paper on a long-term contract.
Two attackers
Adding to their frontline in January with the arrival of Danjuma from Villarreal, Spurs will need to take a look at the position again in the summer. As Lucas Moura will depart Tottenham Hotspur Stadium come the end of the season once his deal expires, he will need replacing.
Danjuma could possibly be the man to take the Brazilian's place on a permanent basis if he proves in his loan spell that he can be a big asset for Tottenham going forward. The club do have the option to buy him permanently from the Spanish side in the summer if they so wish.
Depending on what happens with Bryan Gil, Tottenham may then need to look at bringing in another attacker to help build their dream squad. As Conte wants ready-made players at his disposal, the Spaniard has played a bit-part role ever since joining from Sevilla in July 2021.
Now back with his former club on a loan deal until the end of the season, it remains to be seen what where the Spain Under-21 star will be playing his football come 2023/24. If he isn't ready for regular first-team football and Spurs do decide to part with him once again then another attacking option will have to be sought.
