Tottenham and Middlesbrough have finally agreed on a deal for Djed Spence. The right wing-back will move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a fee of £12.5million rising to £20million with add-ons, with both clubs just finalising the last few points.
Spence is already at The Lodge at Hotspur Way and will undergo his medical either late this morning or early this afternoon before signing his contract in north London. The England Under-21 international will become Spurs' sixth summer signing.
The arrival of Spence will finally see the club bring in a new right-wing back after previously targeting one in January. Playing in the role on loan for Nottingham Forest last campaign, the talented youngster excelled going forward and contributed with three goals and five assists in all competitions as they won promotion to the Premier League.

The hope is that the 21-year-old will be able to replicate his form in Conte's system and be a real hit in the Tottenham XI. Speaking ahead of Tottenham's pre-season friendly against Sevilla, the head coach was asked by football.london about Spence but the Italian remained rather coy on the transfer.
"Yeah, about Spence we don't want to comment about speculation because it is disrespectful for all the other players, for the club and the other team.," he said in his pre-match press conference. "Sure we are always looking to improve the squad if there is the possibility."
Spence will link up with his new teammates at Hotspur Way for the first time once they return from their pre-season tour of South Korea. He will join Fraser Forster, Clement Lenglet, Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma and Richarlison in joining Tottenham ahead of the new campaign.
