Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg impressed on his debut as Tottenham kicked off their pre-season campaign with an emphatic 3-0 win over League One side Ipswich Town.
Playing at an empty Tottenham Hotspur Stadium once more, an early Ryan Sessegnon effort and Heung-min Son's subsequent first-half brace ensured victory for Jose Mourinho's hosts.
Son led the Spurs attack with Harry Kane unavailable due to quarantine rules following a family holiday in the Bahamas, with Gedson Fernandes and Sessegnon lining up as the full-backs and Hojbjerg beginning alongside Harry Winks in midfield.
There were also a number of notable inclusions on the bench, perhaps none more so than new signing Joe Hart.
Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jack Clarke were also present after returning from loan spells, with new teenage signing Alfie Devine also earning a spot in the squad.
It took the home side just six minutes to make the breakthrough as Dele Alli played an exquisite ball over the top for Sessegnon, who cut on to his weaker right foot before firing back across goal and into the bottom left-hand corner.
Tottenham's lead was doubled with under 10 minutes on the clock as new boy Hojbjerg brilliantly slid in to intercept a weak pass from the Ipswich goalkeeper, with Son calmly slotting the ball home after it fell at his feet.
Son put Tottenham out of sight after only half an hour, brilliantly chipping over David Cornell in the Ipswich net following an incisive, defence-splitting pass by Juan Foyth.
Mourinho, as expected, opted for a host of changes at half-time, with Hart, Carter-Vickers, Denis Cirkin and Clarke coming into the team.
Chances were few and far between in the second half, perhaps Moura with the pick of the bunch as he held off the challenge of three Ipswich defenders before firing into the side netting.
The second half from a Tottenham perspective was more centred on giving younger players minutes, with 16-year-old pair Devine and Dane Scarlett making cameos alongside 18-year-old Harvey White and 19-year-old Jamie Bowden.
Toby Alderweireld, Gedson and Sessegnon were the only players to play 90 minutes, with Hojbjerg coming off after 63 minutes following an impressive, assured performance.
Tottenham next face Championship duo Reading and Birmingham on back-to-back days next week, before finishing their pre-season campaign against Watford at Vicarage Road on September 5.
