Ranking 25th in the Forbes list of America's richest self-made women, Tory Burch has empowered others to live their dream.
"Our brand was started with a founding principle: to give back and support other women," said the fashion designer.
The power of dreams is celebrated in a collection of five fragrances as part of a collaboration with Japanese beauty company Shiseido.
Burch founded her eponymous fashion house in 2004. Five years later she launched the Tory Burch Foundation to advance women's empowerment by providing capital, education and digital resources to female entrepreneurs.
Over the years, the Tory Burch label has expanded to include ready-to-wear, handbags, footwear, accessories, jewellery as well as home and beauty products.
Burch's approach to perfume mirrors her design philosophy, which is based on reimagined classics and unexpected contrasts.
"I have always been fascinated by scents -- the way they can connect us to memories and inspire emotions," she said. "I wanted to create beautiful, uplifting fragrances that remind us to follow our dreams and imagine a world of endless possibilities."
Designed to instil optimism, the Essence of Dreams collection is guided by her mission to inspire everyone to live with character, beauty and confidence.
Each eau de parfum is connected to a dream and a feeling. Divine Moon and peace, Electric Sky and freedom, Mystic Geranium and joy, Cosmic Wood and magic, and Sublime Rose and love.
In a further collaboration with award-winning artist Malin Ericson, the collection's bottles feature a Double T logo framed by a colour that evokes the spirit of each scent.
It took two years to develop the fragrances, each composed of botanicals and essential oils as well as responsibly sourced ingredients.
Divine Moon opens with bergamot and rhubarb, followed by middle notes of honey and Lady of the Night flower, along with a base of almond milk and responsibly sourced sandalwood.
Electric Sky is an unexpected blend, opening with blue sage and violet then leading to cactus flower and responsibly sourced lavender, before rounding off with vetiver and woody Palo Santo accord. The addition of saltwater lends a mineral quality to this vibrant fragrance.
Mystic Geranium captures the essence of joy through bergamot, responsibly sourced geranium, lotus, cedarwood and musk.
With top notes of cardamom and ambrette, Cosmic Wood has a heart of jasmine and sage, and a base of responsibly sourced vetiver.
The classic rose scent has been reinterpreted with responsibly sourced rose accented by freesia in the Sublime Rose, which features top notes of rosewater and blackcurrant and a warm undertone rendered by patchouli and Dreamwood.
Burch encourages layering the fragrances for a signature scent -- imbued with the wearer's own intentions and dreams.
