An historic steam train will be passing through Edinburgh once more this summer with the return of the Tornado.
The 'Aberdonian' service will be paying a number of visits to the Capital in good news for trainspotters across the city.
Departing Edinburgh Waverley, daytrippers can see Scotland's scenery in all its beauty with a trip over the Forth Bridge and up the east coast to Aberdeen.
The popular train featured in movie Paddington 2 and is the first steam engine to reach 100mph since the 1960s.

The team behind the tours say: "Let the ‘The Aberdonian’ whisk you away as we take in some of the best that Scotland has to offer, both on train and off.
"Crossing the Forth Bridge, the train runs along the coast for much of its route making it an unrivalled way to experience Scotland. In Aberdeen there is a chance to explore this historic city, or take one of our off train excursions that include a castle or distillery visit.

The trip takes place on three dates in July, one in August and three in September, departing Waverley Station at 9am and returning at 9.40pm, with stops at Haymarket Station too.
