Tories launch investigation into 'evil' tweet about young girls smelling 'creamy'

The Twitter account has since been deleted

TORIES in Preston have launched an investigation into a tweet that said 16-year-old girls have a “buttery, creamy, slightly sweet smell that is unbelievably magnetic”.

A Mirror source has claimed that the man pictured on the tweet’s account is Jonty Campbell, who has stood as a Tory candidate a minimum of five times.

Campbell was until last night listed by Preston Conservatives as their deputy chair for campaigning.

The @CmdrJonty account and the page naming and picturing Campbell has since been deleted after it sparked fury online.

It is yet to be confirmed if the tweet was made by Campbell or if the account was made unlawfully or hacked.

Preston Conservatives chair Andrew Pratt told The Mirror: “The current tweet from @commanderJonty [sic] is being investigated and a further statement will follow.

“This language and opinion about women and girls is completely unacceptable.”

According to a version of the tweet archived by Google, the comment was part of a conversation about a British man who had left his wife for a 22-year-old Ukrainian refugee he had been hosting.

The tweet sent from @CmdrJonty on Saturday said: “Here’s the thing with girls 22 or under, they smell massively different to a girl of 28.

“Girls 16 to, say, 23 have this creamy, buttery, slightly sweet smell that is unbelievably magnetic.”

Women’s rights activist and author Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu replied: “What did I just FREAKING read?

“Where do you begin to deconstruct this evil. It’s the mindset of misogyny/violence against women personified. What a sick disgusting perversion about young women."

Electoral records show that Campbell has stood unsuccessfully for the Tories five times since 2017, twice for Lancashire County Council and three times for Preston City Council.
