A bingo player who plays the game every week with his wife in a club in Top Valley, and has done for more than 20 years, has won a £50,000 jackpot.
The Nottingham resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, won the prize at Buzz Bingo Nottingham on Gala Way on January 24, after calling 'house' during the National Game.
The National Game is one game of bingo that's played by players across the UK at the same time.
On the day he won, the visit to the hall ended up being a last-minute decision, which he is extremely glad he made.
The winner plans to share the winnings with his family and treat himself to a holiday.
Mark Levitt, general manager at Buzz Bingo Nottingham Top Valley, said: "We couldn’t be happier for our lucky winner and their fantastic win.
"Everyone was cheering from their seats - it was such an exciting moment."
Buzz Bingo is a chain of bingo clubs with halls up and down the country.
Peter Bridgen, chief retail officer at Buzz Bingo, said: "The atmosphere in club when there's a win is always incredible, and we're delighted to see another customer hit the £50,000 jackpot during the National Game at Buzz Bingo Nottingham Top Valley.
"Overall Buzz Bingo players win more than £2million per week in bingo prize money and have won £3million in Big Buzz Special jackpots.
"It's great to celebrate a win and have the rest of the bingo community celebrate that too."
