Top Technogym equipment: A guide to the best models for your workout

Technogym - (Technogym)

If you see fitness as more than a routine and as an investment in longevity, Technogym is the answer. In fact, when I stepped into Technogym’s Picadilly boutique, it felt more like entering a high-end concept store than a traditional fitness showroom.

According to one of the in-house training experts who greets me, the space and products are designed to ‘inspire’, with clean black and gold accents framing their latest fitness and wellbeing gadgets. So whether you’re looking to build a professional-grade home gym or integrate smart wellness into your daily routine, this is where the future of fitness takes shape.

Why invest in Technogym?

Beyond aesthetics, Technogym’s real appeal lies in how everything works together. Each piece of equipment syncs with the My Wellness app, which gives data-driven insights and personalised programmes. Whether you’re tracking progress, following guided workouts, or connecting to fitness apps, everything works in harmony – which can sometimes be a struggle in the world of smart gym equipment.

The setup was simple, and the app connected to everything, whether I was lifting dumbbells or running on the treadmill, tracking every movement with impressive accuracy. Technogym isn’t just about collecting data; it is about using that data in real-time to adjust my workout and improve performance.

Adapting to wellness goals

It was really useful that the Technogym app adapted to whatever exercise I was doing. On the treadmill, it helped me find my pace; picking up on how I was moving and suggesting tweaks that felt natural. With the dumbbells, it kept track of my reps and the weight I was using, giving me a real-time snapshot of my progress.

Technogym makes elite gym-quality tracking super simple and while this kind of tech is often reserved for high-end gyms, it’s now available for home gyms, offering a sophisticated, smooth experience. For anyone looking to turn their space into a high-end fitness zone, Technogym is exactly the kind of technology that boosts the whole workout.

I have used Technogym equipment in some of the world’s top gyms and I am always impressed. Testing the Connected Dumbbells+ smart weights was no different. Technogym Skillrow

It’s probably quicker to list the things the Technogym Skillrow doesn’t do (although I’m yet to find any). So believe us when we say that this impeccably-designed and built-for-life-in-the-21st-century rowing machine does it all. It might not be powered by water, but it’s kitted out with Aquafeel technology so it simulates a realistic on-water rowing experience. But the tech doesn’t stop there.

You can flick between two different modes: the rowing mode, which is great for a cardio-inspired workout, or the power mode, which feels like you’re rowing through honey. Keen on tracking your movements? You can do so easily via the 7-inch LCD display. But if you download the Skillrow app you can gamify your row and take part in ‘Race to the Pace’ which could see you virtually compete against your or a friend’s PB. Yes, I know, at just over £4,000 this piece of kit doesn’t come cheap. But if you’re looking to perfect your rowing stroke, want feedback in real-time on your progress and are keen on increasing your strength while boosting your endurance, you’ve met your match.

Technogym Bench Home Gym Bench

Technogym is a name you’ll often spot in high-end studios, as much of a sign of the functionality of the equipment as it is about their good looks (well, as far as gym equipment goes). The aptly named Technogym Bench was made as a slimline home gym solution. With this in mind, you can find maximum impact without a whole lot of floor space required.

The accessory-packed weight bench is not adjustable but doubles as a storage solution for bulky and hard-to-store equipment such as dumbbells. Inside you will find a variety of weights, elastic bands and knuckles as well as a mat for comfort. The brand suggests there are over 200 exercise options available from the equipment provided to tone muscle, improve strength and enhance flexibility.

Technogym Skillmill Connect

If you’re looking to replicate professional sports training in a safe, engaging and effective way at home this is the (albeit very expensive) machine for you.

The Skilmill is a non-motorised curved treadmill and is entirely powered by the user. Combining stamina, speed and agility training — many fans of the machine claim to feel double the burn. If you’re looking for a new way to challenge yourself on a treadmill it doesn’t get better than this.

“The curved belt and self-propelling nature engages more of your posterior chain allowing your glutes and hamstrings to work harder than they would on a traditional run-of-the-mill treadmill,” says Tom Bliss, London’s leading Technogym trainer.

Technogym MyRun

Over the last few years, our homes have become many things - offices, restaurants and of course, gyms. That being said, we don’t all have the luxury of a dedicated room for our fitness equipment so Technogym has got us covered. The compact design has been crafted specifically to suit homes of all shapes and sizes. For those concerned about possible injuries from the high impact of running outdoors, this is the next best thing and complete with an adaptive surface that is easier on the joints.

Connect to the brand’s app and you’ll be able to step your workouts up a few notches motivated by the enthusiastic trainers - there are over 450 sessions and new ones added all the time. When you choose the one to suit, the device is smart enough to automatically adjust speed and incline. There’s also an array of natural and urban landscapes from around the world so you can check out the tracks in that holiday destination that’s always on your mind. You can also change up the soundtrack and monitor your run with Biofeedback for a close analysis of cadence, heartbeat, and step length and a deep dive into your running style.
