Top TE options for Colts in 2025 NFL draft not named Tyler Warren

The tight end position is a big need for the Colts this offseason. It was one of the position groups that GM Chris Ballard mentioned needing more from in 2025, specifically in the passing game.

So naturally, a popular selection for the Colts at 14th overall in many early mock drafts is Penn State tight end Tyler Warren.

But who are the other top options in this year’s draft class at that position? Perhaps Warren isn’t on the board when the Colts are picking at 14, or maybe Ballard addresses safety or cornerback instead.

With help from PFF’s big board, here are a few of the other top tight end options in this year’s draft class, along with their overall ranking:

29. Colston Loveland, Michigan

More of a pass-catching threat, Loveland has caught 101 passes for 1,231 yards and nine touchdowns over the last two seasons combined. Nearly 50% of his total snaps have come lined up in the slot, with almost another 20% out wide.

47. Gunnar Helm, Texas

Helm went from catching 14 passes in 2023 to 60 this past season. He totaled 786 yards and averaged an impressive 13.1 yards per catch with seven touchdowns. Helm can add a steady, well-rounded presence to an offense with his blocking ability.

57. Mason Taylor, LSU

Kyle Crabbs of the 33rd Football team calls Taylor “an impactful receiving threat” at the NFL level. Taylor has been a reliable pass-catcher, hauling in 71% of his targets over his career. He set a career-high in 2024 with 55 receptions and 546 yards. Crabbs adds that Taylor is growing as a downfield presence.

82. Harold Fannin Jr., Bowling Green

Fannin is listed at only 230 pounds and was a huge factor in the Bowling Green passing game. He had 150 targets in the 2024 season alone. Fannin would catch 78% of those throws and total 1,555 yards at 13.3 yards per catch with 10 touchdowns. He was asked to line up all over the formation from in-line to the slot to out-wide.

Other tight ends to know

121. Benjamin Yurosek, Georgia
124. Jackson Hawes, Georgia Tech
128. Oronde Gadsen II, Syracuse
133. Thomas Fidone II, Nebraska
