Top performing Georgia Bulldogs in NFL Week 5

Georgia Bulldogs continue to make an impact in the NFL. Six Georgia Bulldogs on the Philadelphia Eagles are all undefeated (5-0) five weeks into the 2023 NFL season.

NFL Week 5 featured several special performances from Georgia Bulldogs. Offensive tackle Broderick Jones made his NFL starting debut. D’Andre Swift and the Eagles defeated Matthew Stafford and the Rams. George Pickens game up with some timely catches to help Pittsburgh defeat Baltimore.

Steelers OL Broderick Jones

Pittsburgh Steelers rookie offensive tackle Broderick Jones was effective in his first career start. Jones and the Steelers defeated the Baltimore Ravens 17-10 in a AFC North clash. The Steelers moved to 3-2.

Jones played 37 total snaps in pass blocking situations and allowed just one quarterback pressure according to Pro Football Focus.

Philadelphia Eagles RB D'Andre Swift

Philadelphia Eagles running back D’Andre Swift had an excellent performance in Week 5. Swift finished with 108 total yards in Philadelphia’s road win against Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams.

Swift finished with 70 rushing yards on 17 carries and 38 receiving yards on six receptions. Swift has totaled 434 rushing yards this year.

Bills DE Leonard Floyd

Buffalo Bills defensive end Leonard Floyd contributed two sacks and one forced fumble in Buffalo’s defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Bills, who are now 3-2, are looking for more consistency. Former Georgia football star Leonard Floyd already has 5.5 sacks this season.

Philadelphia Eagles DL Jalen Carter

Jalen Carter remains PFF’s highest-graded interior defender after NFL Week 5. Carter and the Eagles won 23-14 against Los Angeles. Carter sacked fellow Georgia Bulldog Matthew Stafford twice and recorded four tackles in the Eagles’ win.

Philadelphia got a steal in the 2023 NFL draft with Jalen Carter. Carter already has 3.5 sacks this year.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR George Pickens

Pickens was the only effective player in the Pittsburgh offense for most of the afternoon against the Baltimore Ravens. Pickens came up with a clutch touchdown with under two minutes left to finally give the Steelers the lead as Pittsburgh moved to 3-2.

George Pickens hauled in six catches on 10 targets for 130 receiving yards and a touchdown in Pittsburgh’s home win. Pickens added one rush for 16 yards.
