A top spokesperson for the US Department of Health and Human Services, Thomas Corry, recently announced his abrupt resignation on LinkedIn. Corry, who served as the assistant secretary of public affairs, did not provide a specific reason for his departure in his post.
Reports indicate that Corry's resignation came after experiencing conflicts with Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Stefanie Spear, the principal deputy chief of staff. Spear, who previously worked as the press secretary for Kennedy's presidential campaign, was reportedly heavily involved in managing communications within the agency.
The tensions between Corry and Spear were said to have escalated due to disagreements over the handling of the measles outbreak in Texas. Sources revealed that Spear's prominent role in overseeing communications within the Department of Health and Human Services led to frustration on Corry's part.

Despite the reported conflicts, an official statement from HHS declined to comment on the situation, and attempts to reach Corry for further clarification have been unsuccessful.
In his LinkedIn post, Corry expressed his resignation effective immediately and extended well wishes to his colleagues at HHS, stating, 'To my colleagues at HHS, I wish you the best and great success.'
