When it comes to street food, we're spoilt for choice in Glasgow.
You might even have plans to spend this weekend at one of the brilliant street food markets, or to make a quick stop off at a street food truck in one of our city's many beautiful parks.
Street food has certainly become a growing trend in recent years, with a number of new spots popping up across Glasgow, from east to west.

And Scotland's official tourist board, Visit Scotland, has compiled a 'best in Scotland' list featuring 18 different street food venues across the country you have to try, including three in Glasgow.
Here's where they featured from our city:
Big Feed
A legendary street food spot in Govan, there's no surprise Big Feed was given the big-up in the Visit Scotland list. They said: "this street food collective makes a weekly appearance at Glasgow Market.
"They sample all kinds of tasty treats such as burgers, pizzas or Asian food at this family-friendly place with retro arcade games and a beer garden."

Platform
Another street food market, Platform has transformed the legendary Arches venue in recent years and always proves popular with foodies. Visit Scotland commented: "this exciting and sustainable indoor street food market in the heart of Glasgow’s city centre offers nearly any kind of dish you can think of, including almost a dozen vegetarian and vegan options."

Ginger and Chilli
Also included in the list was Ginger and Chilli, a serial street food award contender. They were a regular at Platform before the pandemic hit, but have spent recent months touring the rest of the UK. Hopefully we'll see them back soon!
Visit Scotland said of their inclusion in the list: "This 2018 British Street Food Awards finalist makes full use of Scotland’s natural larder to produce traditional dishes with an Indian twist.
"Think lamb Jaffna, spiced Cullen skink with curry leaves or peat smoked salted caramel."
