The college season is over for one of the top 2024 NFL draft prospects from the FCS level. Yale offensive tackle Kiran Amegadjie, a potential Day 2 selection in the 2024 draft, will miss the rest of the season with a quad injury.
Amegadjie, a 6-foot-5, 318-pound senior, had surgery to repair the torn quad this week. The recovery process could keep him from working out for scouts at the NFL combine in late February. Per Senior Bowl president Jim Nagy, Amegadjie will still attend the bowl week and interview with NFL teams even though he won’t be able to practice or play.
Amegadjie is a four-year starter for the Bulldogs and did not allow a sack while playing left tackle at Yale. He moves very well for his height and shows good aggression. Scouts have questions about his anchor strength and how well he might create movement in the run game against better competition. Unfortunately, the injury will wipe out any chance to test that before the draft.
